The National Museum of  Military History  proposes educational programs, orientated towards an enhancement of the historical  culture, preservation of the national memory and  rationalization of the Bulgarian identity, based on its rich exposition and funds and its high qualified and experienced personnel. Addressees of  the programs are  children and young people, as the volume and the content are conformable to the age and their interests.

The programs are free for the participants. Their duration is 90 minutes, with an option for prolongation, if there is an announced request on the part of the participants. Each of the themes consists of several modules which gives an opportunity to choose a particular subject module or to visit the museum repeatedly for realization of the whole program. Each of the modules comprises a lecture (theoretical) part, supported with the possibilities of multimedia and second- practical part, which exactly creates the specificity of the educational effect carried out in a museum environment.

The participants have the chance to touch real historical artifacts, to feel the authentic atmosphere of the time, to act out moments and to re- create historical events, reproducing the actions of real personalities by swapping roles. Each module finishes with a quiz and prizes for the most energetic participants. There is a possibility to develop a creative work- drawing, essay, model etc. at home and to take part in the following competition.

Educational programs are realized after a preliminary request by telephone :
