The first volume of the Bulletin was published in 1973.It was the beginning of a series of periodicals through which implemented one long pressing need - to show even more fully the achievements of the staff in the research work. This was an opportunity to popularize the richness of the museum related to the centuries-long, war and revolutionary history of our nation.


The bulletin of NMMH is addressed to the servicemen in the Bulgarian army, it enables the scientists , historians and military experts, developing the military matters, to learn about the museum research team.


The bulletin is useful both for the museum workers and a wide range of readers who study and popularize the war and the revolutionary past of the Bulgarian people.


In most recent times, students also show much interest for the Bulletin.


In addition to the researches for the Military Heritage, in the Bulletin are also published materials related to the cultural-educational work of the Museum , are considered specific musem problems assigned to the handling of funds, the exposition and restoration work.


On the pages of the Bulletin there are reports and reviews of books concerning the military topic , as well as articles of colleagues from the park-museum “Wladislaw Warnencek” and the Naval Museum in Varna, / branches of the National Museum of Military History/.


The Bulletin of NMMH are issued by the Publishing House of the Ministry of Defense, "St. George the Victor"- Sofia.


The total number of the published volumes of the Bulletin of NMMH from 1973 to 2006 is 16 volumes.
