The e-journal of the National Museum of Military History is a monthly issue first published in October 2009. It compromises of several headings representing scientific articles, analyses, archive materials, etc.
The heading “History” provides information about interesting facts from the military history world wide. The articles are prepared by the scientific staff and the collaborators of the NMMH. “Museums of the world” is a heading dedicated to the most interesting and attractive museums all over the world and it reveals little known facts about them. In the “Analyses” heading NMMH publishes innovative approaches to different discussion topics and provides a platform for original opinions. There are two headings which are interactive and are targeted at multilateral cooperation with other museums – “Unique exhibits” and “Museum post”. Their aim is to make the readers familiar with extraordinary samples of our historical background preserved in various museums all over Bulgaria and to reveal the latest tendencies in the museum field. Exceptionally interesting heading is the one presenting various texts from the archives – photos, poems and documents written by important historical figures, archive materials describing some of the most intriguing historical events, etc. A valuable gift to the readers of the e-journal is the heading “Digital video library” which allows them to witness some of the greatest military achievements of the Bulgarian army – the seize of Luleburgas, the captured army of Shukri pasha, etc. In a separate heading are presented significant books, published in the period of the issue.
The e-journal of the National Museum of Military History is open for cooperation with other museums and museum collaborators in the field of museum innovations and exchange of experience.
