Jubilee exhibition " The Newspaper - chronicle of an army"
The exhibition is dedicated to 65 years since the creation of the Journal “Bulgarian army”. It was opened by the Minister of Defense Nikolay Mladenov on September 14th, 2009
In the afternoon of September 14th, 1944 appeared the first edition of the journal "People's Army"-a journal of the army and the people, daily paper. The team is composed of two people – Stoyne Krastev and Milko Grigorov. They followed the First Bulgarian army on the battlefield during the final phase of World War II.
The first copy is of two pages and is printed on the presses of the newspapers of that time "Morning" and "Diary" on N. 82, "Dondukov" blvd. in Sofia. The title page of the newspaper "People's army" is painted by Boris Angelushev.

In November 1944 the leadership of the Ministry of War determined the first editor of the newspaper –the poet, at that time Major, Veselin Andreev. And since then, now 65 years, the Journal of “the Bulgarian Army" is a continuation of the traditions of the military press. In April 1948 became the official publication of the Bulgarian army, but since September 28th, 1949 was a publication of the Ministry of National Defense (after the 1990 Ministry of Defense). On April 30th, 1952 the title "People's forces“was renamed the" People's Army”, and since May 27th, 1992 has its present title "Bulgarian Army".
Since 2004, as applications are issued the weekly supplement "Bulgarian Army – Shop” and the monthly one – “Top technology for Defense and Security”.
