The National Museum of Military History took part in the initiative “Sofia breathes ”
For a second Sunday in succession, on August 22nd “Tsar Ivan Shishman” street transformed into pedestrian area with various attractions.
Sofia citizens and guests of the capital were witnesses of a defile of real officer’s full-dresses- of the life-guards, artillery and of all the army from the first half of the last century. The idea of the museum to resuscitate that past when the Bulgarian officers walked with formal uniforms with their families on the central streets of Sofia provoked a big exhilaration. A real tenderness and tears in the eyes of an old lady provoked the possibility to touch a uniform that had worn her husband.
