The valuable edition “Samples long cold weapon of the Bulgarian Armed Forces 1878-2009” will be presented in the National Museum of Military History

The luxurious issue is constructed as a reference book and it represents 37 samples long cold weapon of the Bulgarian Armed Forces during the different stages of their development from the liberation to nowadays.

For a period of nine years the author Plamen Petrov researched the funds of the National Museum of Military History, the Central State Archive, the Bulgarian Academy of Science, etc., analyzed and systemized the long cold weapon – “shashka” sabres, sabres, rapiers and swords of the different types of armed forces.

The book provides an opportunity for collectors, museum employees, restorers, military historians and amateurs to enrich their knowledge and to get acquainted with the characteristics and the peculiarities of the different samples.
