BALLOON FLIGHT , MUSIC AND DANCE WILL ENTERTAIN GUESTS OF THE NMMH DURING THE “MUSEUMS NIGHT”

The National Museum of Military History ( NMMH ) together with its affiliates in the country for the seventh consecutive year participates in the European initiative “Night of the Museums”. On May 17, 2014 (Saturday) from 18:00 until midnight they will open their doors to visitors with free admission and hosting numerous programs of impressive attractions.

Visitors to NMMH may consider looking at the permanent chronological and external exhibitions of the museum, as well as the temporary photo-expositions “Army Day”, “NATO – mission possible” and “And They Raised Bulgaria to a Kingdom" exhibition.

The surprises in the NMMH start at 19:00 and until 21:00 museum visitors will be able to “touch” the stars raising on balloon (depending on the meteorology conditions) and exploring the night Sofia, traveling in time of the Balloon Detachment of the Bulgarian Aviation. While the extreme senses fans enjoy from the high the panoramic view, the classical music lovers could immerse themselves into its magic. Between 19:00 and 20:00 Students Chamber Orchestra of the National Academy of Music “Professor Pancho Vladigerov” will perform military marches and classics under the baton of those who wish conducting the orchestra for a minute. Popularizing classical music, the young musicians project “Conductor for a minute” will enable visitors to understand what is the feeling of being at the conductor's stand .

Experiencing music will continue with a concert that shall start at 20:00 am, featuring Inna Ivanova, Representative ensemble of the Bulgarian miltary Land Forces, and Professional dance formation “Master of the Dance”. The young singer Inna Ivanova will perform popular music hits, as well as her own works. The Representative ensemble of Bulgarian Land Forces will contribute to the good mood by performing popular songs and military marches. For the finals the dance lords from “Master of the Dance” will bring on stage feast of emotions, presenting international dance show - colorful palette of temperamental dances from around the world.
